In this episode of Legends of History, we witness the story of Tomris Hatun, the queen of the steppe, and her struggle with the Achaemenid Empire.

Tomris Hatun emerged victorious from her war of existence against the Scythians, and then appeared before the Achaemenid Emperor Cyrus the Great, the most powerful king of ancient times. Cyrus the Great tried to seize the Massaget lands with his marriage proposal to Tomris Hatun, but upon receiving a rejection response, he changed his strategy and started preparations to invade the shores of the Caspian Sea. However, Tomris Hatun showed Cyrus the Great that it was not easy to occupy Massaget lands. The Achaemenids moved deep into the steppe against the Massagetes with an army of a size never seen before in the Central Asian steppes. Tomris Hatun, on the other hand, would do her best against the regular military force against her.
